Baumfolder’s line of 1600 floor model equipment is designed and built for larger production applications, which require a more heavy duty industrial construction. The 1600 floor model line handles average production runs between 50,000-250,000.

While Baumfolder carries many different types of folders, the big brother to them all is the Baumfolder 20” continuous folder and the Baumfolder 20” pile feed folder. These production folders are able to handle stock up to 20.5” x 33”.

Both the Baum20 Pile feed folder (PFF) and the Baum20 continuous Feed Folder (CFF) can  perform almost countless ways to fold many different stocks of paper providing material for many different industries. These pieces of perfectly engineered equipment can be equipped with a verity of tools, kits, and special accessories, to handle many different types of special applications, providing you a complete production system handling many of your product finishing needs.

Gluing

 A great resource and option to add to a floor model folder is the ability to glue. A good percentage of mailing material unitizes glue systems. Both Baumfolder 20” PFF and CFF systems can be fitted with multiple accessories, and tooling to allow for inline gluing applications. In most cases cold glue is used, however hot melt glue is available.

Slitting, Perfing, and Scoring

 There are countless ways your Baumfolder floor model system can be set up to slit, perf, or score. This option is just another example of how versatile your Baum system can be.

Scoring- As with most Baumfolder products the Baum floor model folders can score and fold inline, in one pass. By adding a scoring kit assembly you can turn your folder into a creaser, saving you from buying a stand along creaser and saving much needed shop floor space.  Helping make your invest go farther.

Perfing- Whether your micro perfing or regular perfing it won’t matter because Baum-folders can be set up to handle both. In fact you can Score, slit, perf, and fold all in one pass! Slitting- A great way to trimming extra material from your folds. If you need to fold and trim edges from your digital printed material adding a slitting accessory to your floor model folder is the way to do it!

Having a slitting option on your folder also saves you time and money.  If you’re folding a 8 ½” x 11” sheet of paper on 100,000 job run try using an 11”x17” sheet slit down the middle to cut your run time in HALF!
